Progressive overload with built-in recovery

Training load increases by ~10% per week across a 3-week build, followed by a recovery week at 60% volume. This 3:1 cycle is the foundation of sustainable endurance development.

Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio (ACWR)

Your 7-day acute load is compared to your 28-day chronic load to compute a stress balance ratio. A ratio above 1.5 is a known injury risk signal — Adaptiv flags this before it becomes a problem.
