Welcome to Adaptiv Training. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Adaptiv Training web application, native iOS application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service in any form, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Adaptiv Training is a closed-loop AI training platform for endurance athletes, available as a web application and a native iOS app. The Service combines objective biometric data — collected automatically in the background via Apple HealthKit — with subjective daily readiness inputs to dynamically generate and adapt personalized training load recommendations. The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Strava (for workout data import) and Apple Health (for biometric and activity data), and uses Stripe for subscription billing.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
To use the Service, you must create an account and provide certain personal and physiological information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and available plans are described within the Service. All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we do, we will provide you with at least 30 days' advance notice via email before the new price takes effect. Your continued subscription after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You agree not to use the Service to:
If you choose to connect your Strava account, you authorize us to access your workout data via Strava's API in accordance with Strava's terms. You may revoke this access at any time through the Adaptiv Training app settings or through your Strava account settings. Upon revocation by either method, all workout data that was imported from Strava will be permanently and automatically deleted from our servers. Workouts logged manually are not affected. We are not responsible for Strava's availability, data accuracy, or any changes to their API or terms.
The Adaptiv Training iOS app requests access to Apple HealthKit data. If you authorize this access, the app uses HealthKit's background delivery feature to automatically receive health and workout data — including sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, and Apple Watch activity data — without requiring you to open the app. This background data collection is a core part of how the Service generates your recovery score and training recommendations.
You may revoke HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Health → Adaptiv Training). Revoking access stops future data delivery but does not automatically delete previously collected data. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by Apple Health or Apple Watch sensors.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store your payment credentials.
The Service, including its software, algorithms, design, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Adaptiv Training and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial training purposes, subject to these Terms.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service (workout logs, check-in data, race results, etc.). By submitting data, you grant us a limited license to use that data solely to provide and improve the Service for you.
The Service is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
The training recommendations provided by the Service are generated by algorithms based on the data you provide and should not be considered medical advice.
You should consult with a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise program or if you have any concerns about your health. You assume full responsibility for any risks associated with your use of the Service and your training activities. If you experience any pain, discomfort, or adverse symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any training recommendations, recovery scores, or fitness metrics generated by the Service. These outputs are estimates based on the data available and the limitations of our algorithms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Adaptiv Training and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Adaptiv Training and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature within the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Fort Collins, Colorado. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Adaptiv Training regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
